WESTPAC LIFE SAVER RESCUE HELICOPTER SERVICE
For over 35 years, the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service has provided search and rescue services to many communities. Since that time, the Service has carried out more than 21,000 missions ranging from urgent patient transfers to dangerous search and rescue missions.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service, owned and operated by Surf Life Saving Australia, began in Sydney in 1973 with a team of 28 surf lifesavers. Today, the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has evolved into a world-class sophisticated rescue and surveillance service, with trained pilots and crew, on call ready to perform water, rock and cliff rescues, locate distress beacons from vessels, carry out shark patrols and assist in flood and fire emergencies. The service also supports surf lifesavers by patrolling the coast, providing a vital layer in Surf Life Savings' coastal safety network.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter is a free community service. There is no cost or obligation to any member of the public who has been rescued by the Helicopter. Despite delivering this vital community service, the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter is a not-for-profit organisation, with no Government funding. The Service depends entirely on the generous support of the community and sponsors to remain flying.

SIR David Martin Foundation
The Sir David Martin Foundation is a non-profit organisation created in 1990 by the late Governor of NSW, Sir David Martin, who had a dream of "safety, hope and opportunity for all young Australians". Our mission is to provide all the resources necessary to enable young people to achieve their full potential, thereby influencing our community to do all they can to eliminate issues facing young people in crisis. We aim to get more young people off the streets, away from unhealthy situations and into care and rehabilitation.

Cancer Council NSW

Cancer Council is the leading cancer charity in NSW. We have been the focus of public action, public giving, and public communication about cancer for more than 50 years.
Vision
Cancer defeated.
Our vision will be realised when lives are not cut short by cancer, or their quality diminished.
Mission
To defeat cancer through engaging the community.
Our mission will be fulfilled when the people of NSW:
• Share our conviction that cancer can, and will, be defeated
• Act from information and understanding
• Express a clear appreciation of how communities can contribute to defeating cancer
• Embrace the actions required to defeat cancer
• Live and work in organisations, families and social settings which advance the control of cancer.
Our commitment
Whether as donors, supporters, volunteers or collaborators, the community places great trust in the capacity of Cancer Council to fulfil its mission. Our commitment is to effectively deliver on this trust.
Our effectiveness will be judged by:
• The enhancements we bring to the lives of cancer patients and carers
• The Impact we have on scientific knowledge and on community understanding and behaviour
• The changes we facilitate in society, policy and practice, which advance cancer control
• The productive deployment of our resources.

Surf Life Saving Australia

Surf Life Saving Australia is Australia’s major water safety and rescue authority. We are the largest volunteer organisation of our kind in the country. The majority of our services are provided by surf lifesavers who complete surf patrols in their own time.
Our total membership of more than 140,000 is spread across 306 affiliated surf life saving clubs, as well as 45 support operations. Of our 140,000 members, around 40,000 actively patrol our beaches and 52,000 are nippers (junior surf lifesavers aged from 5 to 13).
In the 2007-08 season, our volunteer patrol members were involved in 12,500 rescues, while our paid lifeguards rescued 1,100 more, taking to more than 540,000 the total number of lives saved since 1907.
