Jan Worthington - Director
NZRN, Dip FHS, FSAG

Jan Worthington has been actively involved in full-time genealogy and family history research since 1982. Jan was elected Councillor of the Society of Australian Genealogists in 1984 and is a current Vice President. Elected a Fellow of the Society in 1994, Jan was also Vice President from 1992- 1996.

Other positions held include: Member and Convenor of several Society of Australian Genealogists committees since 1984; Convenor of the 1st International Congress on Family History and the 5th Australasian Congress on Genealogy and Heraldry in 1988. Professional Genealogists in most countries are not licensed by the Government but there are Associations which maintain the standard of practice.

 

Jan belongs to the Association of Professional Genealogists and was Trustee and Regional Vice President 1988-1994. She is also the Australian Trustee for the International Society for British Genealogy and Family History. Jan was convenor of the Society of Australian Genealogists Computer Users Group from 1984 – 1996 and was author of five editions of Computers for Genealogy’. She is a frequent local and overseas lecturer and genealogical tour leader to the Family History Library, Salt Lake City. Jan has also worked with local and heritage historians on various projects and is the author of several books.

 


Don Clark - Director

Don Clark has a corporate and business background in Sales and Marketing with expertise in Banking, Finance and Information Technology.

Don has worked in sales, leadership and strategic roles for large international companies and for small business organisations in Australia and New Zealand. Don was very successful in the corporate world having won several State and National awards in recognition of group and individual achievements.

Don’s success in business has been helped by his attention to detail and his patience with projects. He has enjoyed organising a number of conferences and technology events including the very successful international Compaq Technology Forum in 1990.

Don enjoys speaking opportunities and has been a guest speaker at a number of International conferences in Australia, USA and New Zealand. Don enjoys the role of a mentor or coach to younger colleagues.

Don is the founder and a current director of Sharity which facilitates the donation of shares directly to charity. The Sharity program is a wonderful opportunity to help those in need.
